Cinnamon Spiced Collagen Hot Chocolate

Most nights lately (once the kids are down), I make myself this cinnamon spiced collagen hot choccy.

It's warm, cozy, and a little bit magic. Not just a treat, but something that actually nourishes you too, with collagen, our Female Nourish Blend, bone broth, ghee and a few cozy spices.

It makes such a beautiful drink through pregnancy and postpartum because it has that warming, grounding aspect, which is exactly what your body craves in those seasons.

Here's exactly how I make it.

Ingredients

Makes 1 mug

  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 tsp carob powder
  • 1 tsp cacao powder
  • 1 small tsp Female Nourish Blend
  • 1 tsp Maia Collagen Powder
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • ½ tsp bone broth concentrate (this gives it a yummy salty flavour)
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
  • ¼ tsp ginger powder
  • Optional - 1 tsp gelatin powder (makes it thicker), ¼ tsp turmeric

Method

1. In your mug, add the carob powder, cacao powder, Maia Collagen Powder, maple syrup, ghee, bone broth, cinnamon and ginger. Everything except the Female Nourish Blend.

2. Pour in ¼ cup hot water and use a hand frother to mix everything until fully dissolved and combined.

3. In a small pot, heat your milk until warm (not boiling), then add the Female Nourish Blend. Adding it off high heat protects the vitamin C from being damaged by the heat.

4. Give it a mix with the hand frother until combined and a frothy.

5. Pour the warm milk into your cup with the other ingredients, and give it a final stir.
